I specialize in helping individuals grow in their awareness of God’s presence and guidance.
I recommend spiritual direction for three reasons:
- Life flows out of our relationship with God. If we are laboring (as a spouse, parent, minister, or worker) disconnected from God, we will suffer. Many of us are trying to do good things in our own strength and power. Then we find ourselves exhausted, defeated, and discouraged. Spiritual direction is designed to reconnect people with God’s presence, which naturally renews and empowers us.
- Our work is first a calling, not a job. Many of us find a strong calling towards a certain line of work. However, it is easy for us to lose our sense of passion and calling. Instead, we find ourselves toiling in a job. Spiritual direction is designed to reconnect people with their passion and purpose.
- God is dynamic. It is easy for us to fall into routines and habits. Some of these are good, some are not. However, God’s presence in our life is almost always dynamic. If we do not pay attention, we easily miss out on the things God wants to do in us and through us. Spiritual direction is designed to help us pay attention to God’s dynamic presence in our lives.
Practical Stuff:
How does Spiritual Direction work? We meet for about an hour, ideally in person (though I will do Zoom sessions, if requested). Our time will begin with silent prayer. Then, we have a conversation that will help us identify God’s activity in your life, along with any roadblocks you might be facing.
What is the cost? The fee for spiritual direction is $75/session. I can receive payments by Venmo, cash, or check.
